Is x.v.Color/xvYCC Important?
x.v.Color is a colour format supported by some high-end televisions and equipment that greatly expands the number of colours that can potentially be shown by the set. However, there is no consumer video that takes advantage of the format, and so as of this moment it is a largely unnecessary and only an extreme form of “future-proofing”.
